Hungry elephant "descends" into the city and causes panic among residents

Residents of the Assam state capital in India, Guvahati, tried to expel the wild elephant from the streets, descending from wildlife reserve Amchang in search of food. After ending a bit through the city, the elephant was shot with a soothing rifle and returned from the authorities to his home. India has lost a large part of the forested areas that have been devoured by urbanization in recent decades, which has caused animals to often interfere with areas occupied by humans.
