Milan, Di Francesco on pole: first contacts, but they think the Champions and the permanence of Leo

Two games, then the streets of Milan and Gattuso will separate, Champions or not. For several weeks now, in the offices of Via Aldo Rossi, the casting for the next season's bench has been worked on. The former Roma coach was picked up during a walk in the center of Milan, while a photo immortalized him for dinner in a restaurant a stone's throw from the hotel where he stayed (the visit lasted at least three days).

THE SITUATION - At the moment, however, there is no official negotiation between the parties. Because Leonardo, three days from the end of the championship, must protect Milan (and Gattuso), while Di Francesco, exonerated in March, is still under contract with Roma. This does not mean, however, that there was no more or less direct contact. However, evaluations must be made. Leo could promote the former giallorosso, but the Brazilian manager himself will have to pass the Elliott exam, which will evaluate the work done at the end of the season. And then the Champions: fourth place could change the club's plans.

INCOGNITE - At 49 - notes the rosy - Di Francesco is a coach to think about reopening a medium-long term cycle. He already has experience in a great club, he did well with Roma and also with Sassuolo. The unknowns - final placement and managerial management - will be dissolved soon, but in the meantime Eusebio Di Francesco could enter the sights of other companies and Milan will expand their casting of coaches.
