Through a statement published on its official website, the Viola Club Coordination Center Association announced the purple banners strike for Fiorentina-Milan:

In all our decisions we must always keep in mind the good of Fiorentina. (Rigoletto Fantappiè).
After the semi-final return played in Bergamo we deliberately waited a few days for the company to make the necessary clarity, communicating the decisions to re-found the technical sports sector so as not to face another bankruptcy season for the fourth consecutive year.
Unfortunately today we must acknowledge that despite ourselves we find ourselves immersed in a deafening silence.
The Association has therefore decided, as the first action of dissent, to permanently remove the banners of our Viola Clubs from the stadium.
We reserve the right to evaluate further actions in the coming days to demonstrate the position of the Association and its affiliates ".
